Upcoming Games for Rock Valley North/South This Week

McFarland (6-2) at Beloit Turner (5-3)  - Game of the Week

Tuesday, January 15th 7 p.m.

McFarland comes into this game trying to avenge their lose from last week against conference leading Clinton, losing 56-65.  This will be a crucial game for them as Edgerton is tied with them in the conference standings and East Troy still undefeated.  McFarland will need as much help as they can get from Cory Frank the conferences leading scorer, averaging 18 points per game.

Beloit Turner looks to keep their hot trend going and make it a 2 game winning streak after beating Evansville 52-43 last week.  The Trojans are in second place in the conference, only trailing first place Clinton by one lose.  Home court has been treating them well lately, winning their last three home games by an average of over ten points.  Evan Metzger and Anthony Payton are both tied for the leading scorers on the team averaging 12 points per game.  The Trojans will need to play excellent post defense in order to stop big man Cory Frank for McFarland.

Edgerton (6-2) at Big Foot (3-4)

Tuesday, January 15th 7 p.m.

Edgerton has been a very hot team these last couple weeks, bringing a 3 game winning streak into Big Foot Tuesday night.  The Crimson Tide find themselves at a very comfortable second place in the Rock Valley North only trailing undefeated East Troy.  The Tide won a close game last week against Parkview holding on for the 56-54 victory.  Adam Converse the leading scorer for the Crimson Tide will be expected to have a big impact on this game.

Big Foot is looking for some much needed confidence after being beat by East Troy last week 90-34.  Sitting with a record of 3-4 and in the middle of the conference standings, a win against Edgerton could be a game that turns Big Foot’s season around.  Big Foot looked out hustled and confused at times on defense against East Troy last week, leading to the lopsided score.  Carter Hehr the leading scorer for Big Foot looks to get back on track after an off game last week, only scoring 6 points.

Evansville (3-5) at Clinton (6-2)

Tuesday, January 15th 7 p.m.

Evansville is in jeopardy of losing 4 straight games if they can’t get back on track with a road win on Tuesday night.  The Blue Devils sit at the bottom of the
Rock Valley North standings at 3-5, looking for anything to be a bright spot in their season.   A win against Rock Valley South first place Clinton could be that extra motivation in the season.  Leading scorer for the Blue Devils Owen Schoenenberger is doing his part to help get the team back on track scoring 14 points per game.

Clinton currently has a 6-2 record and is in first place in the Rock Valley South standings.  Beloit Turner though is right on their tail only training the first place Cougars by one lose.  The Cougars have been in control of the south standings for most of the year, flexing their muscle early in the season and beating North Boone last week 72-30.  They have won four games in a row looking to make it five straight Tuesday at home.  The Cougars big body down low is 6’5 forward Cody Risseeuw, a great low post athlete who is averaging close to 20 points per game.
