Jefferson (7-6) at East Troy (14-0)  - Game of the Week

Tuesday, February 12th 7 p.m.

East Troy keeps it winning ways going still undefeated in the conference. Coming off a big 66-62 win against Wisconsin Dells on Saturday and against McFarland last night, 68-54.  Brett Prahl of the Trojans scored team high 28 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in the victory.  They look to make it two straight as they face a struggling Jefferson team who has fallen to the bottom half of the standings.  This game should be a great test for a Trojans team who is playing on a back to back, and nearing the playoffs next week.

Jefferson has been struggling all year, only being able to stay a game or two above .500.  The Eagles would love to be the team that can knock off East Troy and gain momentum right before the playoffs begin.  The Eagles are coming off a close victory against Whitewater on Friday night, 45-43.  They are lead by talented sophomore Vinny Cincotta; a 6’3 forward who is leading the team is rebounds and points scored.

Edgerton (9-4) at McFarland (10-4)

Tuesday, February 12th 7 p.m.

A game that Edgerton has had circled on their calendar all year, and it now means more than just bragging rights.  If Edgerton can come into McFarland’s gym and get the win, they will take over second place in the conference, dropping McFarland to third.  The Crimson Tide is coming off a bad non-conference loss against Monona Grove last Tuesday.  As the playoffs near, every team wants to play their best ball going into the post season.  Adam Converse and Cameren Wileman are both stars on the Crimson Tide, averaging over 10 point per game, playing well off each other all year.

McFarland know they can’t watch East Troy at the top of the conference with only a week left in the regular season.  That won’t stop the Spartans from taking it to an Edgerton team that has a chance to leap frog them in the conference standings.  Not only does McFarland need a win to stay in second place but they also are in jeopardy of losing two straight.  Cory Frank will be the go to guy for the Spartans as usual; the big man is the third leading scorer in the conference.  In order for the Spartans to get a high seeding in the playoffs it must start with win tonight against Edgerton.
