East Troy (23-3) vs. Lodi (23-3)
Semi-Final Boys State Tournament
The East Troy Trojans come into this game knocking off Berlin 57-44 to get a bid on the State Tournament. The Trojans have not faced any real test this year, going undefeated in their conference and beating there opponents by an average of ten points per game. Senior Nate Dodge lead the conference in scoring averaging twenty points per game, along with 6’8 twins, Brett and Alex Prahl. The two big men down low have given fits to their opponents all year, the inside out game that Head Coach Daryl Rayfield preaches has effective against every opponent. “We just need to play how we have all year, stay focused, our seniors will lead this team,” said Rayfield. Lodi also comes in with an identical record as the Trojans, beating there last opponent Wisconsin Dells, 73-59. Lodi finished 9-1 winning the Capitol North Conference; they are lead by junior forward Jordan Shea. The 6’4 junior is averaging just less than 16 points per game and should be a tough matchup on the block for the Prahl brothers. Brady Moses also is a threat for Lodi in the backcourt, a 6’2 senior guard, masters his game around attacking the basket, and is an excellent passer on the open floor. Neither team has really faced much of a test this year, which is a blessing and a curse all in itself. This matchup will finally pair the Prahl brothers of East Troy with some very talented low post players of Lodi.
